WORSHIP
The GBC worship ministry exists to lead and teach the church to interact with God.
WORD
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship." (Acts 2:42)
God has saved a family of people who follow Jesus by studying the Bible and living it together.
Community groups are the heart of the ministry of Crosspoint. Every week on Thursday nights at 7, students will gather in gender-specific groups to connect, study God's word, and encourage one another through prayer.
Community groups are the launching pad into everything else that happens in Crosspoint: serving together, engaging the campus together, and having fun together. As our biblical community is healthy God's Spirit will compel us in outward love.
SERVICE
"All who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day … praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." (Acts 2:44-46, 47)
Because we have been adopted into God's family by the work of Jesus, we now all have "household chores."
Students are encouraged to serve in two main domains: within the church and outside the church.
Within the church, the avenues of service are the Little Kids, Kids, Refuge, Connect, and Worship ministries.
Outside the church, students will engage the campus with the gospel. Students will also have regular opportunities to tangibly care for people in the community of Nacogdoches.
WORSHIP
"They devoted themselves to…the breaking of bread and the prayers . . . and day by day, attending the temple together." (Acts 2:42, 46)
We grow to reflect Jesus more as we enjoy and obey our loving God. Students involved with Crosspoint engage in worship in two primary ways: 1) the corporate GBC Sunday gathering, and 2) at worship nights spaced throughout the semester.
Students are encouraged to worship with the intergenerational body of Christ in Sunday morning gatherings. Growth as disciples is best fostered in the context of the whole church, not just a generational subsection of the church.
Worship nights will punctuate the semesters (beginning, middle, end). These will be opportunities for students to celebrate, cry out, and be reminded and refueled together as they live on mission together.
FAMILY
"All who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day . . . praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." (Acts 2:44-46, 47)
Because God our Father has loved us as His sons and daughters, we love each other as brothers and sisters.
Students are a part of the family of Grace Bible Church. The adults and families of Grace can “Adopt a Jack” and develop a relationship with a student over meals and conversation.
Fill out the form below if you are interested in participating in the Adopt-a-Jack program. Be aware that it might take some time to connect you with an adult/family.
