Summer Crosspoint meets on Sundays at 1:30pm (9am starting May 30th and throughout the summer) in Henderson Hall beginning Sunday, May 16th. We have an awesome Summer ahead that involves journeying through the book of Genesis! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to be included on regular communication.
After a year of interrupted learning, GBC wants to help kids at Raguet Elementary make up for time lost in reading and conversation with adults. We are calling this new venture “Covid Catch-up Reading Connections” and we need your help to make it a success! After volunteering, you will receive training May 22nd and 23rd from 3-4pm to read with a struggling student and then will be paired with the family of a kindergarten through second grade student to help that student practice reading. You have the option of either meeting with your student at GBC Wednesdays at 4pm or working out an alternate schedule with the families. Tutoring starts the first week of June and will last through the summer. In addition to volunteering, age-approximate book donations are appreciated! Contact Jon with your book donations/questions. To sign up as a volunteer for “CCRC” please sign up here.
*Please note: all volunteers will receive a background check.
The effects of COVID-19 have been far-reaching, even affecting your child's opportunities to practice their reading skills! Because reading is critical to your child's success in school and in their future, GBC wants to connect your 5 to 7-year-old with a reading mentor for the summer. All of our reading mentors will be trained and background-checked to bring the greatest chances of success to your little reader.
When: Weekly over the summer -- your child's tutor will connect with you to find a time that works best
Where: You choose -- your home, the library, or Grace Bible Church (GBC will be Wednesdays at 4pm)
Why: Grace Bible Church is a Christian church located across the street from Raguet Elementary. Our primary goal is to be a blessing to our neighbors.
6th - 12th students, join Refuge for a fantastic summer! We will typically meet on GBC campus Sunday nights from 6-8pm with some weeks involving surprise destinations. Additionally, we will have Wednesday lunch hangouts so make sure you are up-to-date on Refuge events and please sign up for text announcements: text "@gbcst" to the number 81010.
When: August 1st at 9a.m. Location: GBC Henderson Hall
We are overjoyed that Brad has accepted the call to serve as our Pastor of Groups and Global Missions! Brad, Tiffany, and their boys hope to move to Nac in August but will be at GBC for a meet and greet on Sunday, August 1st! Join us in Henderson Hall at 9:00a.m. to meet the Carrs and welcome them to our church family.
Baptism is one of the most profound and meaningful steps that a person takes in their relationship with God. The church throughout history, however, has had several different teachings about what baptism is and who should take part in it. This has led to a degree of confusion and even frustration for many regarding this beautiful and meaningful sacrament. We believe this step is so important that we want to take time to reflect on what baptism is and why Jesus commanded his followers to do it.
We have several avenues through which people can pursue baptism at Grace Bible Church. You can attend a baptism class, which are offered every other month, meet with an elder, or meet with a member of our staff. To pursue baptism by meeting an elder, you can e-mail our elders here. To pursue baptism by meeting with a member of our staff, you can e-mail our staff here. To attend our class on 8/8 at 9am, sign up here.
If you are interested in pursuing membership, join our New Member Workshop & Lunch on September 12th at 12:15pm. This is a great opportunity to hear more about GBC -- our philosophy of ministry, our beliefs, our history, and more. Additionally, you will get to know our leadership better and be able to fellowship with others in our church. Lunch will be provided. Childcare is available, but we ask that you sign up to let us know you're coming.
