Philip Melton – Assistant Pastor (Worship/Media/Freestylin’) 

Philip is the Assistant Worship Pastor and Technical Director at Grace Bible Church and is responsible for leading student and congregational worship and making sure that the church maintains audio and video equipment that is up-to-date. He has been leading worship since 2000 and a part of the ministry at Grace since January 2008.
 

Philip was raised in Longview and graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a degree in music education. Philip began leading worship for his youth group at the age of 14 and a couple of years later felt God’s calling to serve as a worship leader in the church. He continued to lead worship at camps, retreats, concerts and special events all throughout high school and into college. While attending SFA, he met his wife, Maegan, and they were married at Grace in May 2008. He began leading worship for the GBC high school ministry “Practice” as a worship intern in January 2007, as well as serving as a member of the praise team. Philip loves spending time with his beautiful wife, watching movies, guitar hero, grilling, playing with his black lab Sophie, sushi, and playing guitar.
